I deliberately avoid making AI video covers. Suno users generate more than 7 million songs every day. If just 2 million of them were publicly released and half received a short AI-generated video, even an estimated 50 Wh of computing per 4–10-second video would mean around 50 MWh of additional electricity consumption every day — roughly the daily electricity use of 5,400 German households. For a purely decorative video, I don't consider that additional energy use and its associated carbon footprint justified. I may call me an artist. Why?
