I’m a Boomer, born in ’51. I grew up listening to my Mom play the piano and sing…hymns, USO songs, Broadway tunes. She listened to music with her heart. When I was 8, a cousin taught me how to play the right hand side of the Chopsticks duet. I began to see how chords worked, so I could create my own little compositions, which is what I do to this day. Although I tried on several occasions to become a “legit” musician by learning how to read music, my free styling always seemed to get in the way. In 2011 I got the Tyros 4. For the first time I could seemingly perform as a member of a group and relive the joy of sitting next to my cousin playing Chopsticks. Plus, I could endlessly explore genres of music I couldn’t previously access due to my limited abilities. Amazing! THEN CAME SUNO and my musical life was transformed once again! So now I’m using SUNO to produce all of the old Tyros 4 songs and calling the collection “Comfort for an Old Man”. (Note: Although some songs are titled, most are simply designated with a DATE and general genre.)
