Yeah… you thought I was gone, huh? But legends don’t die— they just step back, reload, and reappear. Let’s go. (Verse 1) I slipped off the grid, disappeared like smoke, Left ‘em whisperin’ my name like a half-told joke. Michael Johnson, resurrection, now I’m breakin’ the locks, Had to vanish for a minute just to level the clocks. They said I flatlined, headlines flooded the zone, But I was chillin’ in the shadows, reclaimin’ my throne. Fake death? Nah—call it tactical retreat, Now I’m back up in the booth droppin’ fire on the beat. (Hook) I’m back from the shadows, yeah, I rose from the dark, Took a breath in the silence, now I’m reigniting the spark. You can’t bury a legacy, can’t silence a drum, Thought I left the whole planet—now look who’s back, I’m the one. (Verse 2) I watched ‘em mourn me, watched ‘em rewind my best, While I rebuilt every lyric, put my mind to the test. I heard the rumors, the theories, all the chatter and talk, But while they guessed my location, I just went for a walk. Now I’m stormin’ the gates, yeah, the phoenix reborn, Got ‘em rubbin’ both eyes like they woke up in the morn’. No ghost, no spirit—just a man with a plan, Came back from the “dead” just to prove who I am. (Hook) I’m back from the shadows, yeah, I rose from the dark, Took a breath in the silence, now I’m reigniting the spark. You can’t bury a legacy, can’t silence a drum, Thought I left the whole planet—now look who’s back, I’m the one. (Bridge) Disappear to evolve, that’s the code that I kept, Sometimes you gotta vanish so your dreams stay prepped. Now I’m stronger than ever, every fear laid to rest, If return was a sport—man, I passed every test. (Outro) So here’s the truth in the open, no more hiding my face, I’m alive, I’m electric, I’m reclaiming my place. Michael Johnson in the building, yeah I’m back in the flesh, From the fake-out to the comeback—now I’m truly the best.
