Ballpark State of Mind

Verse 1 Alarm goes off at 4 A.M., Coffee's brewing once again. Cleats are flying through the house, "Has anybody seen my glove?" Cooler's packed with Gatorade, Sunflower seeds and lemonade. GPS says three more hours... Guess we're taking the scenic route. Pre-Chorus We might be tired... We might be broke... But we'd do it all again. Chorus We're living in a ballpark state of mind! Weekend after weekend, chasing that white line. Dirty jerseys, dusty roads, Hotel keys and heavy loads. Win or lose, we're making memories, One more game, one more city. This ain't just a sport... This is our way of life. Yeah, we're living in a ballpark state of mind! Verse 2 Dad's coaching third, Mama's filming every swing. Brother's got the music loud, Everybody starts to sing. Somebody forgot their belt, Somebody spilled the snacks. Mama fixes everything... Before we ever hit the track. Bridge One day these little cleats Won't be by the front door. So until that day comes... Give us one more tournament. One more sunrise. One more road trip. One more memory. Final Chorus We're living in a ballpark state of mind! Trading sleep for sunshine every single summertime. Home runs, heartbreaks, Walk-offs, rain delays. We'll be telling these stories For the rest of our days. Because the scoreboard won't remember... But this family always will. Yeah, we're living in a ballpark state of mind... And we wouldn't trade it... For anything. Outro Play ball! Load the truck! See you at the next tournament!
