The Tanglewood Revival

We came into Tanglewood carrying our lives, Some with hidden heartache, some just tired inside. But nobody had to prove a thing, We were brothers gathered before the King. And somewhere in the worship, somewhere in the prayer, We started seeing Jesus in the men gathered there. For forty-eight hours, the world grew still, And love began changing the way that we feel. [Chorus] It was the Tanglewood Revival, Forty-eight hours on holy ground. Where hardened hearts grew tender, And walls came tumbling down. We learned that loving Jesus Means loving the hurting too— Seeing every broken person The way our Savior would. [Verse 2] We prayed for one another, we listened and we cried, We learned there's something holy when a man lays down his pride. No rich man, poor man, strong man, weak— Just sons of God with grace we didn't earn or deserve. And when you know how much you've been forgiven, You start looking at this world a different way— With compassion for the lonely, And mercy for the ones who've lost their way. [Chorus] This is the Tanglewood Revival, Forty-eight hours that changed our view. We came asking Jesus to change us— Now He's asking what we'll do. Will we love the ones forgotten? Will we stop for someone in need? Will the world see Christ within us By the way we love and serve and lead? [Bridge – Gentle, Then Build] Give us eyes for the hurting. Give us ears for their cries. Give us hands for the broken. Take the judgment from our eyes. Make us humble. Make us tender. Make our hearts look like Yours. Because revival isn't what happens when we're singing behind closed doors. Revival is what happens when we walk back out those doors. [Final Chorus] TAKE THE TANGLEWOOD REVIVAL Beyond these forty-eight hours! Into homes and streets and workplaces, Let Your love become our power. For the homeless and the hopeless, For the lonely and afraid, For the man nobody notices, For the soul who's lost his way. We don't want to just talk about Jesus— LET THEM SEE HIM IN OUR LIVES. Let compassion be our worship, Let His love become our cry. [Outro] Forty-eight hours on holy ground Was never meant to stay here. We came to Tanglewood to meet with Jesus... And we're leaving to carry His love to the world. THE TANGLEWOOD REVIVAL HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN.
