[Verse 1] There will be a gold road That you follow to see Jesus Christ Dust on my shoes now But I can see it in my mind There will be one fruit tree That will have every fruit And the shade will hold us Like a promise coming true [Pre-Chorus] Oh, I can almost see it Shining past the tears Oh, I can almost hear it Calling us up there [Chorus] Gold road to Jesus Christ Gold road to Jesus Christ Take my hand, don't let go We are not far now Oh yes we will Be up there Oh yes we will Be up there [Verse 2] There will be rivers, ponds and springs That will be shimmering clear And every broken thing in me Will disappear right there No more heavy mornings No more aching in the soul We will cross that country And walk where peace can grow [Pre-Chorus] Oh, I can almost see it Shining past the tears Oh, I can almost hear it Calling us up there [Chorus] Gold road to Jesus Christ Gold road to Jesus Christ Take my hand, don't let go We are not far now Oh yes we will Be up there Oh yes we will Be up there [Bridge] One day me and you Will be up there No more restless wandering No more fear to bear One day me and you Will be up there Following that gold road Following that gold road [Final Chorus] Gold road to Jesus Christ Gold road to Jesus Christ Take my hand, don't let go We are not far now Oh yes we will Be up there Oh yes we will Be up there Following that gold road To see Jesus Christ
