[intro, spoken ] This is the tale of the donkey in stilettos going to visit his cousin, and it goes a little something like this A donkey in red stilettos Stepped onto platform 2 Bag full of little plans return ticket full on view He waved at the porter quick Then clacked on through the door Said, “I’m off to see my cousins At the sea side , near south shore" Platform 2 was very new In it's shops they sold shampoo The donkey knew just what to do so he waited patiently , time flew [break] The train arrived a minute early it seemed punctual, on time, so the donkey finished drinking his pint of lager and lime The train left in a rainbow blur (that might have been the lager) Through fields of gold, red and green a very colourful saga Purple seats and lemon lights bridges flashing by once, twice grin too wide to hide the smile the donkey loved to travel, nice Upon arrival, tall shape waiting At the end of platform 6 Blue suede shoes, yellow waistcoat Standing near a pile of sticks His cousin tipped his hat and laughed “Cousin, you made it here quickly” I know, I live quite near and i can walk quite briskly Let's both go and get a snack sammiches from a seaside shack ham salad and eggs and cress, oh yes don't forget the mustard, but please don't make a mess [break] They ate ham sandwiches slowly With mustard cress'n'eggs Talked about writing another song one they could sing in French One hummed a hook, in German the other clapped along in Swiss Then stomped one perfect beat They both exclaimed “Repeat” They wrote the ditty on the back of A ticket stub receipt uploaded it, hyped the sh out of it, sent it out, sweet No long debate, no second guess Just joy in every line and word Likes came a-plenty and quick non thought the song absurd then, upon the wing, three blackbirds sing Saying, “You two just started something That’s bigger than this land 'n'ting" [outro] Red heels Blue shoes , the name of the song and people sang it all day long So the donkey in stilettos and his cousin in blue suede shoes had written another hit song , it really made the news they made a lot of money but stayed true, as they say they really couldn't do anything except play, their song , which they sang in their respective towns, all the next day long
