Put on the New Man

[Verse 1] Old coat on the floor Dirt at the door I wore that name too long Carried it wrong Fresh water on my face New grace, new pace I heard You call me out From the mess I made [Pre-Chorus] I leave it right here I don't wear it anymore You gave me a new heart And a better road [Chorus] Put on the new man (put on the new man) Put on the new man I can hear Heaven say Put on the new man (put on the new man) Old ways fade away [Verse 2] Same hands, new mercy Same eyes, clear sea The mirror don't own me now I know who I be I was buried deep Now I walk in peace Chain on the back porch Dust under my feet [Pre-Chorus] I leave it right here I don't wear it anymore You gave me a new heart And a better road [Chorus] Put on the new man (put on the new man) Put on the new man I can hear Heaven say Put on the new man (put on the new man) Old ways fade away [Bridge] What was mine is gone What You give is strong I rise in Your name I don't belong To the pit I came from To the lie I sung I'm made for the light now I'm made new, I'm made one [Final Chorus] Put on the new man (put on the new man) Put on the new man I can hear Heaven say Put on the new man (put on the new man) Old ways fade away Put on the new man (put on the new man) I step out clean today
