I wasn't supposed to laugh like that. Not yet, anyway.

Just another night out, chips by the station, the same stupid stories, 
and somehow, for a few hours, I forgot what I'd been carrying.

Then someone posted a picture of me laughing.

I almost asked them to take it down.

Not because I wasn't happy. Because I was.

Funny how healing can make you feel guilty. Like finding happiness 
again somehow means what you lost mattered less.

Maybe moving forward doesn't mean leaving everything behind.

So I deleted what I'd typed.

And left the photo where it was.

Put my phone beside the kettle
Pick it up before it boils
