Coffee burns but does no good, wide awake in a dead life Train doors close, no one speaks, faces glued to glowing screens. Scrolling lives we’ll never live, buying things we throw away. Same route, same street, same sound — head down, don’t look around. Are we born for this? Wake up — work — repeat. Are we born for this? Just to vanish in the machine? Are we born for this? Eat, sleep, comply, persist. Tell me — is this it? Are we really born for this? Plastic smiles in office light, fake “I’m fine” just killing time. Ticking clocks inside our heads, counting time we’re slowly fed. News screams war between the ads, names and numbers, good or bad. Send them out, bring them back, draw the lines we never chose. Same lies, same feed, same spin — don’t think, just take it in. Clock in… clock out… shut up… sit down… don’t ask… don’t think… don’t feel— just sink… Who decides? Who’s in control? IS THIS ALL WE ARE?! Are we born for this? Wake up — work — repeat. Are we born for this? Just to vanish in the machine? Are we born for this? Eat, sleep, comply, persist. Tell me — is this it? ARE WE REALLY BORN FOR THIS?! Alarm… again… (no answer)
