HEY! We didn’t build on flat land… We built where gravity tries to win. No sidewalks where we chose to stand Just cliffs and rock and stubborn land Jobs so wild most walked away That’s exactly why we stayed Switchback roads and danger signs Thin air cutting through our lungs and minds One wrong step, one slip of steel You learn real fast what fear can feel But the higher the climb, the bigger the view The harder the fight, the stronger the crew We were mountain side builders of dreams! Hanging life from steel and beams! Sky for miles beneath our boots Carving castles from the roots! We cut roads through solid stone Made the wild feel like a home When the dust and thunder cleared We stood tall and shouted, we were here! Chainsaws screaming through the pines Granite shaking from the lines Dynamite lit up the ground Thunder rolling all around We hauled lumber through the sky No harness strong enough for pride Every man with dirt-stained hands Fighting gravity and land Bruised and broken, stitched and sore We kept climbing back for more We were mountain side builders of dreams! Hanging life from steel and beams! Sky for miles beneath our boots Carving castles from the roots! We cut roads through solid stone Made the wild feel like a home When the dust and thunder cleared We stood tall and shouted, we were here! People asked if we were crazy… Maybe we were. But at sunset… standing on a rooftop above the clouds… Crazy felt a whole lot like heaven. Some good men paid the highest cost Names in the wind we never lost Every nail and every scar Built a legacy from who we are Families came to chase the wild Laughing free like mountain child Homes we raised against the sky Still standing proud as years roll by My hands are slower now, it’s true But the mountains still hold my view Every ridge and every climb Etched forever into time We were mountain side builders of dreams! Fearless hearts and iron teams! We fought the storm, the rock, the cold Turned raw earth into stories told! And these homes will outlive me Standing strong for all to see If I had the chance again… I’D CLIMB THOSE MOUNTAINS WITH MY FRIENDS! No regrets… not one thing… From this mountain side builder of dreams. 🎸
