Six Feet Under Fast Thunder (Chapter 4)

Said a rider crossed the canyon wide, And the dead were walking by his side. Old names whispered through the dust, Names once bound by blood and trust. Black Vultures carved into the night, Six hard men and a taste for a fight. Fast Thunder thought he'd never fall, Now he's just a name on a weathered wall. Red Jack laughed at the hanging tree, 'Til the rope swung down where he used to be. Some men run from what they've done, Some keep riding toward the sun. But every road comes back around, When old ghosts rise from the ground. When the man who hunts you is called Bryce, You already paid the highest price. Steel gets cold and luck runs dry, When those blue eyes lock on your life. Fast Thunder ran, Red Jack prayed, One-Eyed Kane dug his own grave. When the dust settles, nobody asks why — They just say: Bryce rode by. Years ago when the moon burned red, The Black Vultures spread fear instead. Trainyard fires and silver theft, Too many graves in the wake they left. Bryce rode with them back in the day, Before the blood washed trust away. One bad night near Copper Creek, Changed the strong and broke the weak. A family burned in a farmhouse light, Children crying through the night. Something died in Bryce back then, And he never rode with those men again. He don't talk about the past, But old sins ride hard and fast. And somewhere out beyond the plain, One old vulture still remains. One last shadow. One last gun. One last reckoning left undone. The man called Black Crow crossed the line, Twenty years and biding time. Every outlaw tale must end, Every debt gets paid, my friend. When the man who hunts you is called Bryce, You already paid the highest price. No badge, no court, no alibi, Just judgment riding through the sky. Fast Thunder fell, Red Jack died, Black Crow's nowhere left to hide. When the sun goes down on the desert sky, One ghost remains... Old Blue Eyes Bryce. Hoofbeats fading through the night, One less shadow in the fading light. The Black Vultures finally died — But ghosts still ride behind.
