[Intro — three female voices, handclaps] Ooh-wah! Ooh-wah! Guess who's waiting for me tonight? [Verse 1 — female lead] He meets me every Friday, He's waiting at the door, He walks me home beneath the stars, Then asks to see me more. My girlfriends say I'm lucky, They ask me what's the plan, I just smile and tell them all, I've got a loving man! [Pre-Chorus — backing voices answer] Who's the one who makes you smile? He's my man! Who's been walking you a mile? He's my man! [Chorus — all three voices] He's my man, he's my man, He holds my hand whenever he can! Let them talk, let them stare, I don't mind, I don't care! He's my man, yes, he's my man, And I'm his girl — that's the plan! [Verse 2 — female lead] The girls all want to meet him, They say he's quite a catch, But when he gives me that old grin, I've got no chance to match! He brings me little flowers, He makes my troubles small, And when he says he loves me, I forget the world and all! [Pre-Chorus — backing voices answer] Who's the one who makes you smile? He's my man! Who's the one who's worth the while? He's my man! [Chorus — all three voices] He's my man, he's my man, He holds my hand whenever he can! Let them talk, let them stare, I don't mind, I don't care! He's my man, yes, he's my man, And I'm his girl — that's the plan! [Bridge — lead and backing voices trade lines] [Lead] Some girls say he's handsome! [Backing] We can see why! [Lead] Some girls try to catch him! [Backing] They can try! [Lead] But when the day is over, [All] He's coming home to me! [Final Chorus — fuller harmonies, handclaps] He's my man, he's my man, He holds my hand whenever he can! Let them talk, let them stare, I don't mind, I don't care! He's my man, yes, he's my man, And I'm his girl — that's the plan! [Outro — three voices, playful] He's my man! (He's your man!) He's my man! (He's your man!) That's the plan! Ooh-wah!
