Too Close 👻 Too Far

Pressure building deep within Drawn like an arrow, guided by your wind Strike like Orion hunts at night Too close to run, too far to bite Body under skin to skin Drawn to the fire, I can't begin You play like Icarus and light Too close to touch, too far to fight Feel the burden start again Weight on the shoulders as it settles in Stand firm like Atlas holds the sky Too close to yours, too far from mine Silent fields lay froze and thin Meanwhile, roots below begin again Rise like Persephone to life Too close to love, too far from strife
