Have you ever seen how fast a shooting star falls in front of your eyes, or how quick lightning can strike a tree in the middle of the night. It’s true these things can happen and a few more on a dime, But I know my Savior will return, in the twinkling of an eye. [Chorus] In a twinkling of an eye the trumpets sound in the eastern sky, In a twinkling of an eye knees will bow tongues confess no one can deny, In a twinkling of an eye the dead in Christ shall rise. to some this will be the greatest big surprise, to others they will finally face the truth and realize, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will take his people home, all of this, in just a twinkling of an eye. [Verse 2] I’ve seen cars drive so fast on a track at morning light, and like the driver who gets a win, we must make sure our lives are right, the days approaching and soon it will be time, nobody knows the hour he’s coming, but the bible says, in a twinkling of an eye. [Modulated Bridge] Take a look around you, don’t let yourself be blind, the earth will be destroyed along with those that are left behind, so give your life to Jesus, before the twinkling of an eye. [Modulated Chorus] In a twinkling of an eye the trumpets sound in the eastern sky, In a twinkling of an eye knees will bow tongues confess no one can deny, In a twinkling of an eye the dead in Christ shall rise. to some this will be the greatest big surprise, to others they will finally face the truth and realize, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will take his people home, all of this, in just a twinkling of an eye, in just a twinkling of an eye.
