Into The Light

John 3:16, we’ve all seen the sign On a roadside board or the stadium lights But do we stop, do we really read Or just pass it by and never believe? A promise spoken, a love so wide A Savior lifted, crucified For every soul, for every heart An open door, a brand new start Do we feel it, or fade away? Do we hear what the words still say? For God so loved, He gave His Son So we won’t be lost, but overcome Lifted high for all to see A sacrifice to set us free Do we walk in truth, or run from the light? Do we stand in faith, or hide in the night? He’s calling us now—come and believe Step from the dark, and receive Nicodemus came in the dead of night Searching truth but afraid of sight A Pharisee with a restless soul Hearing words that would make him whole “Be lifted up,” just like before The serpent raised in days of yore So all who look, who dare to see Will find the path to eternity Do we question, do we wait? Or trust in love that conquers fate? For God so loved, He gave His Son So we won’t be lost, but overcome Lifted high for all to see A sacrifice to set us free Do we walk in truth, or run from the light? Do we stand in faith, or hide in the night? He’s calling us now—come and believe Step from the dark, and receive What do we feel when we hear His name? Is it just words, or a holy flame? Do we take for granted grace so deep? Or fall to our knees and weep? How strong is faith, how far will we go? Will we stand in the light and let it show? Or stay in shadows, safe but small When He gave everything—His all He only asks that we believe To live a life we can’t achieve Without His love, without His grace Without the cross, without His face Nicodemus came back in the end Not just a seeker, but now a friend With myrrh and aloes, love revealed A quiet faith no longer concealed We’ve seen Him lifted on that tree What does it mean for you and me? Will we step out, will we choose? Or stay afraid with all to lose? For God so loved, He gave His Son So we won’t be lost, but overcome Lifted high for all to see A sacrifice to set us free We won’t hide now, we’ll stand in the light No more fear, no more night He’s calling us now—we believe Eternal life, we receive Into the light, we rise and stand Faith no longer hidden in sand We’ve seen the cross, we know the way And we choose the light today
