[Intro] Everybody counting something. Plays. Names. Wins. Losses. Me? I’m counting miles. [Verse 1] They’re refreshing the page, comparing the plays, debating who’s moving, I’m looking down at my phone like, “Damn, when am I seeing you?” They want reactions, distractions, somebody feeding the cycle, I got one name on my screen that can rearrange my whole night though. They count attention in fractions, engagements and digital traction, I’d rather hear how your day went than study somebody’s reaction. Keep score if you want, keep tabs, keep making it matter, I got a life past the screen and I’m building it now. Notifications keep jumping, everybody wants an opinion, I’m thinking rent, flights, savings, what city we waking up in. Different objective, different reason I’m running, They want a number beside them — I want enough to become something. Not for a chain or a picture, not for a stranger’s applause, I’m putting hours behind it, I know what it’s all for. So while they measure the moment by who got mentioned by who, I’m measuring every decision by whether it gets me to you. [Hook] All I need is you All I want is you I’m moving on, got better things to do Let ’em chase the numbers Let ’em chase the views I’m just tryna get to you [Verse 2] Stacking the paper, not posing with paper, there’s difference in purpose, Money looks better when every deposit is buying you distance. I’m not impressed by a metric that changes the second you refresh it, Give me a plan I can follow, a balance that grows. Work, deposit, repeat it, keep moving the total, Quiet accumulation — I don’t need approval. I’ve seen attention get rented, inflated, debated, forgotten, Meanwhile a ticket still costs what it costs when I buy it. My focus got narrower, clearer the further I’m going, Less of me watching the room and more of me building the road in. People can talk, conversation is cheap when it’s endless, I’d rather turn every paycheck into another step toward the entrance. One day the screen goes dark, usernames disappear with the battery, What do you own when it closes? Who’s actually there when you’re happy? I know my answer, no ranking could tell me what’s true, I’m not trying to get to the top — I’m just trying to get to you. [Hook] All I need is you All I want is you I’m moving on, got better things to do Let ’em chase the numbers Let ’em chase the views I’m just tryna get to you [Bridge] Everybody else counting upward. I’m counting down. Days. Miles. Hours. Till none of this is long-distance anymore. [Verse 3] I used to think being noticed meant something was happening, Now I know movement is quiet until you look back at the distance. Plans getting sharper, priorities shifting, the noise getting smaller, The louder they get, the easier choosing gets for me. Keep the debates and the rankings, the crowns and whatever they’re calling it, I got somebody worth crossing an ocean and changing tomorrow with. Bigger than being remembered by people who scroll past your name, Bigger than winning a moment that nobody keeps the next day. I want airports and suitcases, mornings that aren’t through a camera, Arguments in the same room, making up without losing the signal. Groceries sitting together, boring routines that feel priceless, Real life — imperfect and ordinary — that’s what I’m trying to arrive at. So if my name gets forgotten while everybody fights for position, Cool. I was never building my future around somebody else’s attention. Let the whole scoreboard keep spinning; I finally know what I choose: They can keep trying to get ahead. I’m trying to get to you. [Final Hook] All I need is you All I want is you I’m moving on, got better things to do Let ’em chase the numbers Let ’em chase the views I’m just tryna get to you All I need is you All I want is you I’m moving on, got better things to do Let ’em chase the numbers Let ’em chase the views I’m just tryna get to you [Outro] Everybody counting something. I know what I’m counting down to.
