Classic 1970s soft rock duo, England Dan & John Ford Coley "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" / "Nights Are Forever" style, perfect male vocal harmony duo (lead + tight high/low harmony), warm intimate male vocals with slight southern gentle tone, clean fingerpicked and lightly overdriven electric guitar, warm Wurlitzer/Rhodes electric piano chords, soft string synth pads in background, subtle funky but mellow bass, laid-back 70s session drummer (light kick/snare, open hi-hat groove), very clean polished Kyle Lehning-style production, romantic breezy evening feel, warm analog tape saturation, yacht rock adjacent but more country-rock/soft pop roots, no modern digital sheen, 1976 radio hit production quality, mid-tempo ~104 BPM, key F major or G major, melodic memorable chorus, heartfelt laid-back love song mood

[Verse] Here we are on a getaway You even packed a few dresses For the nice little restaurants where we like to stay Your mama came over to watch the kids She told us to go have some fun I got the bags all packed in the car We'd better go before she changes her mind [Prechorus] You know how she gets sometimes [Chorus] So let's go away for the weekend There's a cabin up in the hills With an open fire and a bottle of wine And some old school seventies reels A king-size bed and some pillows We'll probably fall asleep 'Cause it's been a while since we've been away With nobody else to see So let's go away for the weekend [Verse 2] I don't know if you've noticed But you haven't been around in a while And I just wanna hold you Look in your eyes and see you smile I got a full tank of gas You can put your feet up on the dash We can stop at a roadhouse on the way Or just put the windows down and drive fast [Chorus] So let's go away for the weekend There's a cabin up in the hills With an open fire and a bottle of wine And some old school seventies reels A king-size bed and some pillows We'll probably fall asleep 'Cause it's been a while since we've been away With nobody else to see So let's go away for the weekend [Outro] Well I thought you'd be sick of me But here we are on a getaway
