THE BAPTISM OF THE SPIRIT John came by the river. Calling hearts to repent. Preparing the people. For the One God sent. Water was a picture. Pointing to the King. Soon the Spirit’s promise. Would change everything. The shadow had a purpose. It was never meant to stay. Christ fulfilled the promise. He became the Way. No more living in the shadow. Now we walk within the light. God has placed His Spirit in us. Leading us by truth each day. Leave the old behind now. Walk in what is real. The Spirit gives us life. His love is now revealed. Paul met faithful seekers. Still with John’s old sign. He spoke of Christ fulfilled. The promised plan divine. The Holy Spirit filled them. Power from above. Not a work of ritual. But the Father’s love. It is the Spirit giving life. The flesh can never save. God has made His home in us. No longer slaves. One body. One Spirit. One faith. One Lord. Our hearts transformed. Forever changed. According to His word. No more living in the shadow. Christ has brought the better way. What was promised has been given. We can walk with God today. Not by outward washing. Not by works we do. The Father’s Spirit lives in us. Making all things new. From preparation. To fulfillment. From the shadow. To the substance. From the water. To the Spirit. Forever walking. In His love.
