Plant The Seed

Yeah… Funny how that works… They asked me would I rather be seen or heard Same thing twisted through a different word I can stand right here and still get missed Or say it clear and watch it twist You don’t hear me how I mean You hear me through what you’ve seen Every lens got its own view So what I say ain’t always true… to you I stopped trying to make it fit Every mind don’t process it I just plant the seed and leave it Let it grow how they receive it Not for all, just who it finds Different soil, different minds I don’t force what don’t belong I don’t need to prove it’s strong If it lands, then it’ll be I just plant the seed Used to try explain it right Shape it perfect, make it tight Thought if I could make it clear Everyone would hear it here But expectation’s where it breaks Not the words, it’s what it takes You can’t fit a tree full grown In a place it’s never known So I let it go instead Let it grow inside their head I just plant the seed and leave it Let it grow how they receive it Not for all, just who it finds Different soil, different minds I don’t force what don’t belong I don’t need to prove it’s strong If it lands, then it’ll be I just plant the seed If the whole world couldn’t see… Would it matter how I looked? Or would it come down to what stayed After the words… took root I just plant the seed and leave it Some will miss it, some will need it I don’t chase what doesn’t see What it grows could never be me Not for all, that ain’t the goal Just the ones it’s meant to hold I don’t need them all to agree I just plant the seed Yeah… That’s enough for me.
