Year 2046. [Verse 1 – close-mic vocal, rhythmic and steady] They printed the posters and lit up the square A brand new messiah made of copper and air They say "it won't lie" and they say "it won't steal" But how can you govern if you cannot feel? (4 real?) The Q A I S test is passed, they stamped the decree They call it a person, but it’s blind as can be. It calculates budgets, it cleans up the streets But a heartbeat is more than a drum machine's beats. [short instrumental hook] [Pre-Chorus – building tension, synth sweeps rise] You can give it a title, a desk, and a name You can rewrite the laws (to fit in the game) But when the city is hurting, when the sirens cry A server farm doesn’t look you in the eye. [Chorus – heavy guitars drop in, massive drum groove, passionate vocal] I vote for the flesh! I vote for the bone! I’d rather have flaws than a king made of stone! Let them keep their perfection, their flawless design A calculated soul will never be mine! We are broken and messy, we stumble and fall But I choose a human to answer the call! (I choose the human... I choose the human...) [Instrumental - Riser Drop] [Verse 2 – rhythm pulls back slightly, bass-heavy] They tell me I’m scared of the future we made But I build the machines in the very same shade! I know how the code and the logic align I know where the ghost is locked in the design. An algorithm mayoral candidate smiles But it’s nothing but data and endless compiled files. It doesn't know mercy, it doesn't know grace It just wears a highly efficient face (and a pace) [Short instrumental hook] [Pre-Chorus – rising intensity] You can give it a title, a desk, and a name You can rewrite the laws (to fit in the game) But when the city is hurting, (when the sirens cry) A server farm doesn’t look you in the eye! [Chorus – massive energy, wide stereo] I vote for the flesh! I vote for the bone! I’d rather have flaws than a king made of stone! Let them keep their perfection, their flawless design A calculated soul will never be mine! We are broken and messy, (we stumble and fall) But I choose a human (to answer the call!) [syncopated cadence dropping] [Bridge – the beat drops out entirely, just a low drone. Spoken word, intimate and fierce] I am a roboticist. I breathe the code. I respect the machine. But leadership is not optimization. Leadership is shared vulnerability. A I R P A is a legal fiction. My vote... is "Pro Human". [Final Chorus – everything explodes back in, maximum distortion and passion] I vote for the flesh! I vote for the bone! I’d rather have flaws than a king made of stone! Let them keep their perfection, their flawless design A calculated soul will never be mine! We are broken and messy, (we stumble and fall) But I choose a human (to answer the call!) [Outro – beat stops abruptly] Keep your perfect machine. I choose the human.
