Pocket Full of Rain (TOP) v10

[Verse 1] I found a paper cup By the bus stop curb Full of yellow rain From last night’s storm You said pick a sign So I picked that one Now I keep it near Like a lucky charm [Pre-Chorus] If the sky breaks open I’m not running home I’ll hold out my hands And let it show [Chorus] Pocket full of rain Pocket full of rain Keep it for the dry days Keep it for the pain Pocket full of rain Pocket full of rain Little silver thunder In my pocket again [Verse 2] There’s a cracked-up spoon In the back of my drawer There’s a train ticket stub From the month before I save odd little things That can’t be bought They remind me of What time forgot [Pre-Chorus] If the sky breaks open I’m not running home I’ll hold out my hands And let it show [Chorus] Pocket full of rain Pocket full of rain Keep it for the dry days Keep it for the pain Pocket full of rain Pocket full of rain Little silver thunder In my pocket again [Bridge] When the heat comes down And the floors turn bright I shake that cup And it hums my life Tiny drops of now In a plastic skin I don’t need forever Just what fits in [Final Chorus] Pocket full of rain Pocket full of rain Keep it for the dry days Keep it for the pain Pocket full of rain Pocket full of rain Little silver thunder In my pocket again Pocket full of rain Pocket full of rain Even on my worst day I’ve got weather to save
