[Intro] I awoke as a jackal in a tuxedo he had borrowed from the sea. Ink leaked from my teeth whenever I tried to speak. So I glued a paper map of Tokyo to the bottom of my knee— each street was a vein that no longer belonged to me. Outside, the skyline blinked like a dying cursor. It was a desolate post-modern wasteland a new graceland where buildings rehearsed their collapses in reverse. You axed me for a hand, so I handed you my arms. Every sentence that I'm bleedin' just comes out all wrong. You wait for confession as if grammar were faith. But I pawned the meaning, and you lost your place Each word was a question pretending to pray— 'Til syntax bit off its nose to spite its face. I’m a liar, but it’s the most sincere deceit. I plant false suns in the concrete. No country, no cannon, no regret— It's true that I’m a liar, but I haven’t been started yet. They said: "Go West; There's promise of a there, there," But I found only mannequins brushing their hair. The compass split up —West was arguing with East—the map folded inward, hungry for new species. I drag three thousand manifestos behind me on a lease—they bark at the sirens, then fall asleep. History flickers through cracked reel-to-reels; And failed empires strike back with fire sale coupon deals. You wait for confession as if grammar were grace. But I lost the meaning, and you pawned your faith. Every word an answer pretending to stay— 'Til syntax chewed through all sense of order and place. I’m a liar, but it’s of sincerest deceit. I plant false suns in the asphalt street. No country, no cannon, no regret— It's true that I’m a liar, but I haven’t even started yet. I don’t just lie—I terraform the doubt. I edit the weather until it all evens out. My lies build cities, raise glass steeples, hire their own citizens, elect their own evils. I’ll trade you that shoreline for a better illusion, a border revised for an expected confusion. Don’t give me your theory; I’ve dissolved all the ink Because I'm the reflection that refuses to blink. I’m not your salvation—I’m its parody laughin' Our greatest hits dancin' out from the ashes. I’m a liar, but it’s of most honest deceit. I plant false suns wherever they have meaning. No country, no cannon, no regret— It's true that I’m a liar, but I haven’t never started yet. Sirens, again. The stage forgets the crypt. You thought I’d escaped, but I'd only reconstructed the script. Manipulation's signature all but erased my breath. And here’s the final truth, the smallest twist: I lied so beautifully that the lies had learned to exist...and leave me.
