Lord we’re standin’ here together, hands raised high in truth This prayer ain’t just for me tonight… it’s for the one who carried us through. You blessed me with a life of laughter A faithful wife, a family tree Children runnin’ through the hallways Every gift You gave to me I thank You for the highs and hard days For every sunrise that I see Even through the storm of sickness Your mercy keeps on carryin’ me My battles may be in this body But tonight my prayer goes somewhere new Carry her through the fire Lift her when she’s weak and tired Lord let heaven touch her days Wrap her heart in gentle grace We will stand and we will care Show her love in answered prayers Put her comfort first in view Hallelujah — carry her through Carry her through! (Carry her through!) Carry her through! (Carry her through!) She was barely seventeen years old When she gave her whole world away Trading dreams for diapers and dinners Working hard through every day Through the loss of Dad and brother Still she held this family tight Now it’s time we hold her closer Be the strength behind her nights Teach our hearts to move with mercy Show us what real love can do Carry her through the fire Lift her when she’s weak and tired Lord let heaven touch her days Wrap her heart in gentle grace We will stand and we will care Show her love in answered prayers Put her comfort first in view Hallelujah — carry her through Carry her through! Carry her through! Time moves faster every season Silver hair and gentle hands Little moments growing precious Like grains of heaven’s sand Let her feel the peace she gave us Let her rest inside our love Help us treasure every second Till You call her home above No more selfish hesitation Lord unite our hearts in truth Carry her through the fire Lift her when she’s weak and tired Fill her days with laughter loud Let her feel our gratitude now We will serve and we will stay Put her needs before our way Every step and all we do Hallelujah — carry her through Carry her through… Carry her through… Lord we’re askin’ carry her through! Every meal and every visit Every hug and every call Let her see the love she planted Still standin’ strong and tall Give us strength to be her comfort Every night and every day Let her final years be shining Full of peace along the way We will love her, we will serve her We will walk in heaven’s truth! Carry her through the fire Lift her when she’s weak and tired Lord let heaven light her way Fill her heart with joy each day We will stand and we will care Show her love in answered prayers Put her comfort first in view Hallelujah — carry her through Carry her through! Carry her through! Hallelujah… carry her through!
