[Verse 1] I found your note in a hoodie pocket Folded up tight like a little moon Said, "Take the long way, don't you stop it" So I walked out humming it under my boots You had one red sock in the washroom light And a paper crane stuck to the glass I kept your grin in the back of my mind Like a bus route I knew would pass [Pre-Chorus] Spinning slow Then it clicks Funny how the day turns quick If you want the sign, it's there Right there in the air [Chorus] Fortune cookie spin Tell me where to begin Fortune cookie spin I'm back in it again Break it, read it, grin Fortune cookie spin [Verse 2] At the corner store, the peach rings gone You were laughing with your hand in your hair I bought two stamps and a bruised-up plum Then I saw your name on the receipt there A little good luck in a torn-up sleeve A little fire in a plastic cup You said, "Keep moving if it feels that deep" So I did, and the morning showed up [Pre-Chorus] Spinning slow Then it clicks Funny how the day turns quick If you want the sign, it's there Right there in the air [Chorus] Fortune cookie spin Tell me where to begin Fortune cookie spin I'm back in it again Break it, read it, grin Fortune cookie spin [Bridge] Turn that page, let it shake I don't need a map to change One small wish, one small sign And the whole wide world feels mine [Final Chorus] Fortune cookie spin Tell me where to begin Fortune cookie spin I'm back in it again Break it, read it, grin Fortune cookie spin
