[Verse 1] You walk in, kick off your shoes Say you’ve had a day and then some I’m stirring up the same old news Hunger, thunder in your stomach You laugh and lean on the counter Flour on my shirt, red on my hands I say, “This might sound random But I’ve got one more plan” [Chorus] I know it sounds like we’re about to eat some spaghetti and meatballs But I just wanna tell you that I’m ready if your heart falls Pass the plate, pass the time, pass the fear of it all I know it sounds like we’re about to eat some spaghetti and meatballs But I’m serving up the courage just to give you my all The light in your eyes starts to glow so bright Like im staring at stars in the middle of the night!! [Verse 2] Steam fogs up the kitchen glass Timer sings its little song You’re dancing with the wooden spoon Off-key, but I’m singing along (oh yeah) Ring hiding in the sugar jar Words stuck in my teeth You say, “Smells like something big” Girl, you have no idea what I mean The light in your eyes starts to glow so bright Like im staring at stars in the middle of the night!! [Chorus] I know it sounds like we’re about to eat some spaghetti and meatballs But I just wanna tell you that I’m ready if your heart falls Pass the plate, pass the time, pass the fear of it all I know it sounds like we’re about to eat some spaghetti and meatballs But I’m serving up the courage just to give you my all The light in your eyes starts to glow so bright Like im staring at stars in the middle of the night!! [Bridge] Maybe this is strange Sauce on the stove, lives gonna change If I spill a little, if I say it wrong Promise me you’ll stay for dessert and a song (hey!) [Chorus] I know it sounds like we’re about to eat some spaghetti and meatballs But I just wanna tell you that I’m ready if your heart falls Pass the plate, pass the time, pass the fear of it all I know it sounds like we’re about to eat some spaghetti and meatballs But I’m serving up the courage Yeah, I’m serving up the courage Just to give you my all The light in your eyes starts to glow so bright Like im staring at stars in the middle of the night!! Mmm mmmmm mmmm the light in those eyes!!!! Take me away to a pasta lovers paradise!!!
