Dear Santa, One Hit Please

[Verse 1] Hey, listen up dear Santa I’ve got just one request Don’t need a mountain of gifts to climb Not chasing sparkles or things that shine ⸻ [Verse 2] Snowflakes or sunny skies It’s all the same to me You can deck the halls in silver and gold But there’s one thing I need to see! ⸻ [Chorus] I wanna drop a Christmas hit! Oh yeah, a Christmas hit! Another silent night won’t cut it I’m going nuts just dreaming of it That’s why I crave a Christmas hit! That’s right, a Christmas hit! Been humming lines in my sleep This dream is mine to keep! That’s right! ⸻ [Verse 3] Forget the candy canes and cocoa Skip all that mistletoe show You can wrap up the figgy pudding My craving don’t need sugar coating Mmm-mmm! ⸻ [Verse 4] It’s simple but true I need that Christmas magic If I don’t land this one big thing The joy just won’t feel classic! ⸻ [Chorus] I wanna drop a Christmas hit! Oh yeah, a Christmas hit! I’ve got no chill left without it My brain’s all lit just thinking ’bout it That’s why I crave a Christmas hit! Oh yes, a Christmas hit! It’s dancing round in my mind A melody I can’t unwind Let’s go Claus! ⸻ [Bridge] You can skip the woolen mittens And don’t need no cologne kits No sweaters, scarves, or neckties Just give me that one sweet gift! ⸻ [Chorus] I wanna drop a Christmas hit! Heck yes! A Christmas hit! Another eve without it? Tragic! This idea’s got real holiday magic! That’s why I need a Christmas hit A Christmas hit! It’s jinglin’ in my soul Only that can make me whole… ⸻ [Outro] So bring it down the chimney, fast! This song just has to last! I’m dreaming of a… Screaming for a… Christmaaaaas hiiiiiit!!! Yeah, that’s right!
