[Verse 1] Now you’ve heard it said A thousand times If it’s not broke Then don’t fix it So my girlfriend wants A wedding ring And right away I had to nix it [Pre-Chorus] I froze up hard At the jewelry store She smiled like she knew What I went there for I said, baby, just wait Give me one more day She said stop, if you do that then Im not gonna stay [Chorus] She said pick it right away Pick it right away Put it on my hand And don’t make me wait another day Pick it right away Pick it right away If you put it off again Mr. You just sealed your fate, so don’t make me wait. [Verse 2] I tried ti make jokes even tried to spin it my way So then I took a minute It was time for me to think on it But she saw through me Clear as the jewelry case glass Her eyes said boy you better pick one fast [Pre-Chorus] So I as I took the box With a smirk and a shaky grin She laughed and said “There’s no ring in it and then She walked on out, mad as she’s ever been Then turned around yelled at me and said when, [Chorus] She said pick it right away Pick it right away Put it on my hand And don’t make me wait another day Pick it right away Pick it right away You know if you make me wait Mr. You just sealed your fate, pick it right away. [Bridge] Now I know What love can do It turns a maybe Into something true So I finally bought the ring because to her it meant everything [Chorus] No more pick it right away Pick it right away As I put it on her finger I said will you marry me today I need an answer right away Need an answer right away If you don’t say I do Then I’m through with you [Outro] If it’s not broke, well fix it anyway And live happily ever after so at the end you both can say, I Do.
