Did you watch the State of the Union the other night? However many did… it wasn’t enough. A republic don’t crumble overnight— It fades when her people stop paying attention. Low lights on that chamber floor, Red and blue like times before, Some stood tall, some stared at phones, While history echoed through marble and stone. Too many of us… have grown comfortable. Apathetic. And when good people grow quiet, Control grows loud. This is the land that faith helped frame, Built on sacrifice and a sacred name, We swore on a book, we bowed our heads, For the living free and the honored dead. Oh, America… she’s more than a fight, She’s law and liberty standing side by side, If we don’t stand up when the truth is plain, Who’s gonna stand for her again? They say this land was stolen ground, But history don’t back that sound, Every nation the world has known, Rose where another flag was flown. All nations are conquered nations. That’s not hatred—that’s history. My own blood crossed oceans wide In the 1800's.... They pledged allegiance to the United States. They learned her language. They followed her laws. They became Americans. We were immigrants, tried and true, The great experiment breaking through. This is the land that faith helped frame, Under God’s watchful, guiding flame, States bound tight by a Constitution’s hand, Oaths sworn across this hopeful land. Oh, America… she’s worth the fight, For ordered freedom, truth, and right, If we forget what made us strong, We won’t know where we belong. Two parties arguing across the aisle… That’s nothing new. Disagreement built this nation. But safety? Security? Standing for soldiers who gave their lives? That should never be partisan. When borders open without law, When chaos walks our city streets, When officials choose loyalty to party Over loyalty to people… That’s when citizens must wake up. No nation on this earth can stand, With millions crossing unchecked land, Compassion must walk hand in hand With written law that still commands. Coming through the back door isn’t mercy. It’s lawlessness. And lawlessness always costs the innocent first. Our economy bends, our streets feel strain, And still we’re told it’s all humane. This is the land where freedom’s cried, Where brave men fell and mothers cried, Where hostile hands have tried to break The strength our founding fathers made. Oh, America… don’t lose your way, Don’t trade your truth for yesterday, If you can’t stand for what she’s been, Then where does loyalty begin? If you can’t stand for her greatness… If history offends your view… If safety for citizens feels optional… Maybe you ought to ask yourself— Why did your family come here? Mine came for law. For faith. For opportunity under order. We should disagree. That’s American. But betrayal of safety… Disrespect for sacrifice… And ignorance of history? That’s something else entirely. Thank God for the red, white, and blue, For the freedom bought for me and you, For every oath still standing firm, For every lesson we must relearn. Oh, America… rise again, With humble hearts and stronger men, If we wake up and choose what’s right, We’ll keep her shining in God’s lights A republic… If we can keep it.
