faulty controller

filthy dub-step, happy hardcore, dub, garage, UK jungle, abstract hip-hop, hip hop, female vocals

Explosive first time, blink, it’s over
You froze up quick like a faulty controller
You looked so crushed, head on my shoulder
I said, “It’s okay, we’ll learn as we get older”
Explosive first time, don’t feel shame
You know my name, I’m stayin’ the same
I brushed your cheek, “We’ll fix that pressure
I said, it’s okay, we’ll learn it together”

Condom fight, yeah, the wrapper won
Half on wrong, you were tryna act strong
Two deep breaths then a half-heart thrust
Three strange faces in the ceiling dust
You dropped out fast, eyes wide, all red
Stare at the wall like your pride dropped dead
You muttered, “Sorry, I swear I’m better”
I flicked your chin, said, “Babe, whatever”

Explosive first time, blink, it’s over
You froze up quick like a faulty controller
You looked so crushed, head on my shoulder
I said, “It’s okay, we’ll learn as we get older”
Explosive first time, don’t feel shame
You know my name, I’m stayin’ the same
I kissed your nose, eased that pressure
I said, “It’s okay, we’ll learn it together”

Who was the first one to think of this?
All elbows, all tits, positions and flips
Never told us nerves can do this
Not once in Sex Ed did they tell us this
We lay there talkin’ till the dawn got bright
Learned more there than our whole damn life
Your hand in mine, soft and steady
Next time comes when we both feel ready (ready)

Explosive first time, blink, it’s over
You froze up quick like a faulty controller
You looked less scared, face getting bolder
I said, “It’s okay, I’m right on your shoulder”
Explosive first time, laugh, no shame
We flipped the script, we’re breakin’ the game
We took our time, shared that pressure
And now it’s great, we learned it together”
