Verse 1 – Her Story] She learned young that a promise could lie, Watched forever fade in another man’s eyes. She gave them her heart, they gave her scars, Left her picking up pieces in the dark. She drank just to silence the pain, Held back tears while she whispered His name. Two little hearts needed someone strong, While the men who made them never stayed long. She'd never known what safe felt like, Never had a hand hold hers through the night. Never heard, “Baby, I'm not going anywhere,” Never found a man who’d fight through the fear. She was drowning in a war inside, Till a little bit of Heaven walked into her life. [Verse 2 – His Story] He'd heard “I love you” a thousand times, Till the hard days came and they changed their minds. When his pockets got empty and his dreams fell apart, They walked away and left him guarding his heart. He drank to forget he was losing his way, Wondered if he was still worth the love they once gave. They swore he'd be forever, then broke every vow, Ran chasing greener grass and came crawling back around. They'd say, “I'm sorry, I made a mistake,” But he'd learned that some promises break. So he turned his heart cold, built a wall ten feet tall, Figured love wasn't worth the risk of the fall. [Pre-Chorus] Then somewhere between the ashes and the rain, Two lost souls heard Jesus call their names. Grace reached down where they couldn't climb, And somehow Heaven brought their hearts in line. [Chorus] Two broken hearts, one beautiful beginning, Two lost souls finally found what they were missing. She found a man who'd never let her face the night alone, He found a woman who made his wounded heart a home. No more running, no more hiding from the pain, No more drinking just to make it through the day. They found each other, but Jesus led the way, And what the world had broken, God's grace could remake. [Verse 3] They fell in love faster than either one planned, She found peace when she reached for his hand. He found his worth when she looked in his eyes, And said, “You're the man I've been praying to find.” He didn't promise there'd never be storms, Just promised he'd hold her through every one. She didn't ask him to forget his past, She just showed him that good love can last. Now the kids see a man who stays when it's hard, A woman who smiles with her whole heart. And every night when they kneel down to pray, They thank God for the miracle He made. [Bridge – Building] She says, “You make me feel safe.” He says, “You make me feel strong.” She says, “I thought I'd never find peace.” He says, “Girl, I thought I'd never belong.” Then they look toward the cross and understand— It wasn't chance that brought them hand in hand. It was mercy, it was grace, it was God's perfect time, Two shattered hearts becoming one life. [Final Chorus – Big Creed-style Rock Finish] Two broken hearts, one beautiful beginning, Two lost souls finally found what they were missing. She found a man who'll stand between her and the storm, He found a woman who made his wounded spirit warm. No more running, no more drowning in the pain, No more ghosts from the people who walked away. They found each other, but Jesus led the way, And what the world had broken, God's grace could remake. [Outro] So let the old scars tell the story of where they've been, Let the cross tell the story of where they begin. She found her safe place, he found his home, And neither one of them has to walk alone. Two broken hearts, redeemed by grace… Forever starts in this sacred place.
