[Opening — Male, spoken] Come, Holy Spirit, Fill the hearts of Thy faithful, And enkindle in them The fire of Thy love. [Verse 1 — Male] They were gathered there together, Waiting as the Lord had said, When a sound came down from heaven Like a mighty rushing wind. Tongues as of fire appeared among them And rested upon each one. They were filled with the Holy Spirit— And the Church Went forth. [Chorus — Male & Female] Come, Holy Spirit, Fill our hearts again. Strengthen what is weak within us; Lead us where You will. Teach us how to follow Jesus. Give us courage to be true. Come, Holy Spirit— Make us holy. Draw us closer To the Lord. [Verse 2 — Female] When I do not know how to pray, When I do not know how to pray, Holy Spirit, pray with me. When I struggle to choose rightly, Give me wisdom so I'll see. When I know the good before me But I'm frightened to begin, Give me courage, Give me strength, And renew My heart within. [Chorus — Male & Female] Come, Holy Spirit, Fill our hearts again.
