Forge of the Primarchs [STTZ WH40K]

For the STTZ WH40K mini-event I wanted to go straight to the big myth: the Emperor at his forge, breaking his own light into twenty sons and watching some of them go… very off-script. Cello sings the tragedy, tagelharpa and war-drums bring the Imperium grit, choir answers in High Gothic. It’s my little hymn to the Primarchs - loyal, lost and fallen alike. If you feel that "only in death is duty done", this one’s for you. The Emperor protects! 💜 Tarja Lyrics: in vaults beneath a broken sun, the master-artisan began. with gene and fire and stolen light, he shaped his answers for the night. no crown, no throne, just tools and scars, a silent forge that birthed new stars. he cut his will in twenty shards, cast them out past all the stars. golden father, forged in war, you broke your light to make us more. primarch hearts like burning suns, only in death is duty done. lux aeterna, in nomine tuo, vincimus. but in the warp, the dark gods woke, they felt the hammer, heard each stroke. they stole the sons mid-breath, mid-dawn, scattered like ash on worlds far-gone. each one grew in stranger skies, with dust and blood behind their eyes. he walked the storm, he knew the cost, the war was won and always lost. golden father, forged in war, you broke your light to make us more. shattered seeds on worlds undone, only in death is duty done. imperator protegit, solum in mortem finiat officium. the first was crowned the warmaster, a guiding star turned harrowed scar. another built with statesman’s hand, wrote shining law across the land. one bore the wings of sacrifice, an angel falling, pure as ice. one burned with every hidden thought, red-robed, broken by the truth he sought. a fortress lord of stone and steel, whose walls remember how we kneel. a wolfs-king howling northern oaths, with fang and axe and weathered cloaks. a storm-rider on open plain, white thunder, never caught by chains. all were mirrors, cracked and bright, of one pale god in golden light. his hands in all, his flaw in each, the dream too high for them to reach. golden father, forged in war, you broke your light to make us more. loyal, lost or turned to none, still in their blood your will runs on. deus imperator, qui vincit umbras, miserere nobis. you walked alone through storms of souls. solum in mortem finiat officium. you broke your heart to make us whole. golden father, forged in war, you broke your light to make us more. primarch names like battle drums, echo through the aurelian suns. for every son that failed or won – only in death is duty done. deus imperator, lux et gladius, in saecula saeculorum. golden father, hear this song. imperator protegit.
