[Verse] How many times must a heart bleed, before we reach out to someone in need. We are called to help each other, have mercy and grace for one another, did our savior not feed the poor, the broken hearted would he not restore, where is the passion that we have inside, we must get rid of all the worldly pride, so the Holy Spirit in us resides. [Chorus] People need Jesus in you and me, to be their strength through a raging sea, be Gods peace through all their trials and fears, so they feel comfort knowing you are near, and when they have pain that’s to much to bear, give them love let them know You care. This is truth that we must all see, people need Jesus in you and me. yes Jesus, in you and me. [Verse 2] Are we to lost in our own ways, to try and brighten someone else’s day, may they all see Gods love shine bright, bring them into his glorious light, and if they fall help them up again, nobody’s perfect and we’ve all sinned , restoration through our fathers love, is what this world should have more of , so we must all rise above, Just rise, above [Chorus] People need Jesus in you and me, to be their strength through a raging sea, be Gods peace through all their trials and fears, so they feel comfort knowing you are near, and when they have pain that’s to much to bear, give them love let them know You care. This is truth that we must all see, people need Jesus in you and me, Jesus, in you and me. [Bridge] lead people to the savior in their time of need, their chains will break and they will be set free, and then one day they will all see, they, will see. [Modulated Chorus] People need Jesus in you and me, to be their strength through a raging sea, be Gods peace through all their trials and fears, so they feel comfort knowing you are near, and when they have pain that’s to much to bear, give them love let them know You care. This is truth that we must all see, people need Jesus in you and me, yes Jesus, only Jesus, in you and me.
