A Most Wonderful Story

[Verse 1] [baritone male vocals begin] I have heard of the story How a King came from glory To be born in a stable they say Laid in Bethlehem's manger To the world then a stranger This gift sent from God on that day [Chorus] The angels cried holy And the skies filled with glory As the Savior of mankind was born While the shepherds in wonder Saw the heavenly splendor And worshiped that first Christmas morn [Verse 2] They say that this stranger Through the Father's great love Came from heaven to set mankind free For His life was a ransom A price to be paid Through His death on Calvary's tree [Verse 3] As I heard of the story How this King came from glory My heart wept with sorrow you see I knew that He loved me On the cross He redeemed me When He died so that I could go free [Chorus] Now I'll sing out His praises And shout the hosannas I will tell all the world of His love And I'll worship in wonder The wonderful stranger Sent down from the Father above
