White lights buzzing, hallway screams, another day in the hospital scene. Room 12 rings for the fifth time now, “my pillow’s wrong” — don’t ask me how. Private suite, he snaps his hand, thinks this place is a spa, not an understaffed land. Let’s rock — yeah, we rock, running wild down the ward non-stop. The day begins — I smile for a while, then I could scream in the damn hospital scene! Let’s rock — don’t you stop, heartbeats ticking like a broken clock. We laugh, we cry — no time to talk, living it fast in hospital rock! Room 8 won’t sleep, keeps buzzing all night, Room 5 says everything’s “not quite right.” One wants water, one wants tea, one just wants some company. Charts are stacking, calls come in, short on staff — where do I begin? Running in circles, no time to breathe, but I keep it cool — that’s what they need. One’s alone, staring at the wall, one just needs someone at all. Between the madness, something’s real — a human touch, a moment to feel. Yeah, we’re tired, yeah, we’re worn, but we show up every morn’. You think I’m too loud, you’re afraid, I don’t fit in the plans that you made — but you don’t know what we get paid. Let’s rock — yeah, we rock, through the pressure, through the shock. The day begins — I smile for a while, then I could scream in the damn hospital scene! Let’s rock — hold the line, running hearts on borrowed time. No spotlight here, no grand applause — just everyday heroes with no time to pause! Still we rock… through the night… hospital rock… we’ll be alright.
