This work is not authorized for remix, reuse, or derivative reproduction. Dedication: this one is for my "friends of faith" upon this creation platform: @insidiouz3, @lightjourner, @jayjabiru, @galvanizingchill, @tw1314, @villainsamongthieves, @jelleebeendave, @frozenharmony224, @foundinworship777, @pantherasounds... Likewise, some of them have also done their own noteworthy remixes of the inspiring original track. Please check out and support their excellent work -- esp if they are newer or smaller creators. And if you are one of my unlisted friends on here who is also of faith? (As this isn't something that I've discussed with everyone...) Please drop a mention in the comments so that I may include you in my above dedication. Take care. 💚 Mmmmm..... I’m pressin' on the upward way New heights I'm gainin' every day Still prayin' as I’m onward bound Lord, plant my feet on higher ground, oh... Oh, I'm walkin' in God's plan for my life He ordered my steps and He's makin' it right Through every valley I know I'll survive 'Cause His hand is on me This is God's plan for my life (Let's take 'em to church) For my heart has no desire to stay Where doubts arise and fears dismay Though some may dwell where these abound My prayer, my aim is higher ground I want to live above the world Though Satan's darts at me are hurled For faith has caught the joyful sound The song of saints on higher ground, where… I'm walkin' in God's plan for my life (Yeah) Up by His grace and I'm shinin' His light No weapon formed can take away my right 'Cause He covers me daily This is God's plan for my life (Yeah) Yet still I'll pray (pray) ’Til Heaven I've found I need to scale (scale) The utmost height And catch a gleam Of glory bright (oh) Oh Lord, lead me on To higher ground... Lord, lift us up and let us stand By faith, on Heaven's table land A higher plane than we have found Lord, plant these feet on higher ground [end] Original track, vocal & chorus melody by ReeceBeats "Higher Ground" hymn by Johnson Oatman Jr. circa 1892 (Inspired by Philippians 3:13–14) Mash-up, arrangement & remix by LKN Produced by LKN
