[Narration fragile child vocal] 1834. The global system tightens the economic screws on the working man. In the United Kingdom, the state executes a vicious crackdown on six agricultural labourers—the Tolpuddle Martyrs—sentencing them to penal transportation to Australia simply for forming a society to protect their wages from starvation. Concurrently, the Poor Law Amendment Act is passed, making workhouses so brutal that the poor are forced into abusive factory loops. Meanwhile, the Slavery Abolition Act takes effect, but the empire funnels millions in compensation directly to the owners, converting chattel slavery into a long-term colonial wage-debt grid. [Intro] (Slow, heavy rhythmic wooden mallet stomps establish a relentless 75 BPM grid) (The sound of metal scraping against raw stone echoes in wide acoustics) (huff... pff...) 1834... and what do we see? (Break the stone for me) [Verse - Part One] [Slow, heavy rhythmic cadence, vocals dragged across the mallet beats] Six men of Tolpuddle are bound in the iron chain, For swearing an oath to protect their children's grain, They ship them away to the shores of the burning sand, To clear out the brush for the lords of the stolen land! (huff... *gasp*) [Refrain] (Vocal style: High-pitched, haunting playground echo over single mallet hit) Too high to get over! (Yeah!) Too low to get under! (Right!) The New Poor Law is tearing the working home asunder! (pff...) [Verse - Part Two] [The scraping stone textures intensify, layering with the syncopated stomps] The doors of the workhouse are gaping so wide and high, They separate mothers and leave the young babes to cry, They evaluate hunger and grade up the price of bread, And pile up the profits on top of the silent dead! They fund the investors and compensate the crown, While tracking the steps of the free-born man heading down! (huff... pff... *gasp*) [Bridge] [Mallet stomps drop out instantly - pure, dry child vocal over absolute silent space] Forget their colonial ledgers, break the master binary rule, (Duality) We are the living fucking fire, not the instruments for fools! They think they own the labor and the structure of our song, But we see the shit, and we get rid of the pong! (huff... huff... *gasp*) [Micro Bridge] [Vocal style: Hyperventilating child whisper, dead silent microphone room] (huff... pff... *gasp*) They think they own my (oops! Fuckin!) crazy song... (Never!) They think the free man is gone... [Chorus] [Maximum Volume Choral Energy - Layered vocals explode over heavy pounding mallets] Oh, the Soul grows heavy with the weight of the name! They trade away the fields for a phantom game! But the spirit is loud, and the voice will arise, Piercing right through their (oops! Fuckin!) crazy Lies! Yeah, the world’th gone (oops! Fuckin!) crazy! [Outro] [All percussion cuts dead on a single, sharp stone-crack - total vocal isolation] My little voice .. (Phew!) I have Spoken (umph!) (huff... pff...) The chain is broken. [End]
