[Intro] [Verse] Midnight's approaching, the band starts to play Saxophones wailing, it's our kind of day Bowties and sequins, we're dressed to the nines Swinging and swaying to sweet jazzy lines [Verse] The trumpet's blazing, the drums keeping time We're lost in the rhythm, feeling so fine Crooner's voice melting, smooth as can be This night's a classic, just you wait and see [Chorus] It's a swinging New Year, we'll dance till it's light Big band's grooving, everything's just right Raise your martini, let the good times swing This jazzy celebration makes our hearts take wing [Chorus] It's a swinging New Year, we'll dance till it's light Big band's grooving, everything's just right Raise your martini, let the good times swing This jazzy celebration makes our hearts take wing [Bridge] The clarinet's wailing, the trombone slides low Piano's tinkling, as the old year lets go The bass is walking, and the cymbals crash We're ringing in midnight with musical panache [Verse] Friends gathered 'round us, strangers join in too Sharing in the magic as the year breaks through The energy's electric, can you feel it too? This is the moment when dreams can come true [Chorus] It's a swinging New Year, we'll dance till it's light Big band's grooving, everything's just right Raise your martini, let the good times swing This jazzy celebration makes our hearts take wing
