Cross or Square

[Verse 1] You keep asking where I stand What sign I wear on my hand One says kneel, one says swear I can’t live split in half You want my name in your book But you want my oath too I won’t trade my Sunday fire For a secret I can’t use [Pre-Chorus] Say it plain Look me in the eye One road here One road for life [Chorus] Christian or a Freemason Pick a side, pick a side Christian or a Freemason You can’t wear both tonight Christian or a Freemason I’m not built to divide Christian or a Freemason One door closed, one door wide [Verse 2] If I bow, I bow to God Not a code in the dark If I speak, I speak straight From the marrow of my heart You can keep the velvet rooms And the polished silver ring I need truth I can live I need grace I can sing [Pre-Chorus] Say it plain Don’t dress it up Faith and masks Don’t mix in us [Chorus] Christian or a Freemason Pick a side, pick a side Christian or a Freemason You can’t wear both tonight Christian or a Freemason I’m not built to divide Christian or a Freemason One door closed, one door wide [Bridge] I won’t hide my prayer Behind a hollow grin I won’t split my soul Just to fit in If the line is drawn Then I’ll draw mine too I’m walking in the light And I’m telling you [Final Chorus] Christian or a Freemason Pick a side, pick a side Christian or a Freemason You can’t wear both tonight Christian or a Freemason I’m not built to divide Christian or a Freemason One door closed, one door wide
