[Verse 1] The plastic prescription bottles are sitting on the shelf The text messages are buzzing, but I’m keeping to myself The traffic on the highway can crawl until it dies I’m sitting in the quiet where the blue shadows rise I pull out the paper and I clear away the stress Engineering a moment that is completely corporate-less I roll it up tight and I strike a little spark And watch the trouble vanish right into the dark [Chorus] I like doobies a lot A lot of doobies I smoke It's no laughing joke Every serious toke Is a load of merciful pot I like doobies a lot I like everything a doobie has got A tapered end and a Roll that doesn't bend Filled with weed right to the top I like doobies a lot [Verse 2] The television's muted and the recliner is deep The world out there is scripted, but it's putting me to sleep Let the robots run the drive-thru, let the servers play the part I am busy building structures in the center of my art A cool and quiet evening with the cats upon the floor No deadlines calling out to me, no knocking at the door Just the slow and steady breathing of a Sunday night at rest With a little bit of green to soothe the armor in my chest [Chorus] I like doobies a lot A lot of doobies I smoke It's no laughing joke Every serious toke Is a load of merciful pot I like doobies a lot I like everything a doobie has got For a maximum high The pain says goodbye Chaos dwindles to diddle-ee-squat I like doobies a lot [Outro] Yeah, dwindles right down To diddle-ee-squat The whole messy world Can take what it's got But I'm staying right here With a load of merciful pot I like doobies A lot ------------------------------------------------- A quiet but positive celebration by an old man who uses marijuana for aches, pains and depression, It romanticises the method of delivery at a happy, unhurried pace, melodically with multivocal backup, Synthstrings bed smoky electro-atmospheric soundscapes all gently led forward by a gentle happy beat, A nature male vocal delivers the lead https://suno.com/s/S1rroYvvUZKzf6EH
