The Marriage Feast

I was asked to a banquet in a mansion so grand, Where an angel was waiting to take me by the hand. As we entered the room voices started to sing In a room where the tables were set fit for a king. The orchestra played with chords loud and strong, And while they were playing, the choir sang its song. A song filled with worship and wonder and praise, For their voices were raised to the ancient of days. As I looked all around me, I too started to sing, The song in my heart that was fit for the king. Then the angels bowed down and the choir sang again , Praise and honor and glory to the lamb that was slain. Then my savior came in, his face shone so bright, I could no longer stand at that heavenly sight. He reached out his hand as I bowed at his feet, And when I looked on his face, my joy was complete. As I turned I could see so many were there, All wearing the garment he had asked us to wear. I knew at that moment, I was where I should be, At a place at the table the king set for me. It is what he had promised on that final day, I would stand in his glory forever to stay. This was the reward I could now understand, I was a guest in God's house at the feast of the land. The banquet was set, the bridegroom was there, And my soul was rejoicing, for he'd asked me to share. I was finally home, no more wanderer to be For the lamb had redeemed me and his love set me free.
