Feast of Hyenas: Sounds from a Scary Movie

Opens with a harpsichord over dark, distorted electronic textures and sweeping, cinematic strings, Hyenas cackle and howl and unsettling hyena sound effects punctuate the atmosphere, Tempo accelerates as layers build, adding urgent keys and dramatic orchestration, The final verse is a shift in mood and explodes into joyful, epic brightness with soaring strings, full synths, and triumphant happy percussion

This work is not authorized for remix, reuse, or derivative reproduction. Inspired by one of my fave scary movies, Neil Jordan's "The Company of Wolves." And its cool use of harpsichord. Score by George Fenton. Meanwhile? I feel some of the best horror films out there are primarily psychological (rather than graphically physical). Likewise, this is really a song about being hunted down by -- one's own relentless thoughts. And how simply holding one's ground to survive some of those "dark nights of the soul" is actually more than enough of a victory. For we are def "our own worst enemies," as we phrase it in English. So please take care and Happy Halloween. 🎃 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh-oh-oh… Don’t go outside Oh-oh-oh... Eyes are glowin' red with vice Become the prey in their sights Don’t go outside No, don’t even try... to fight Go! Go! Go!! Original lyrics 10-22-25 by LKN All rights reserved by the author alone
