[Narration fragile child vocal] 1886. The boiling point of industrial friction explodes across centralized urban centers. In the United States, hundreds of thousands of working-class citizens organize a massive general strike demanding a standardized eight-hour workday, culminating in the historic Haymarket Riot in Chicago. Concurrently, the state deploys aggressive private corporate enforcement alongside military divisions to execute mass tracking and brutal crackdowns on labor assemblies. Meanwhile, across the country, the corporate machine secures absolute control over resources as the Supreme Court writes out a landmark ruling declaring private corporations legal persons under the Fourteenth Amendment. [Intro] (Rapid, heavy rhythmic iron boiler-plate clangs establish a driving 92 BPM marching grid) (The sudden, dry thud of pneumatic rivet-gun hammers creates a sharp background friction) (huff... pff...) 1886... and what do we see? (March through the Haymarket square for me) [Verse - Part One] [Driving marching delivery, vocals pounding directly on the boiler clangs] Eight hours for labor, eight hours for rest, They stand in the square with a fire in the chest, They drop the factory tools and they walk out the gate, To strike down the parameters of corporate state hate! But the masters call the guard and they prime up the gun, To track down the free-born soul before the day is done! (huff... *gasp*) [Refrain] (Vocal style: Shouted background call-and-response harmonies) Too high to get over! (Yeah!) Too low to get under! (Right!) The bomb in the marketplace is roaring like thunder! (pff...) [Verse - Part Two] [The heavy iron clanging intensifies, creating a rolling percussive rhythm] The courtroom is open, the legal trap is set, They hang the labor leaders while the executioner's wet, They use the Fourteenth Amendment to shield the corporate hand, And claim a private syndicate can own the sovereign land! They evaluate the tracking and they grade up the state score, While locking up the free-born mind behind the prison door! (huff... pff... *gasp*) [Bridge] [All percussion drops out instantly - pure, dry child vocal over absolute silent space] Forget their corporate personhood, break the master binary rule, (Duality) We are the living fucking fire, not the instruments for fools! They think they own the cadence and the limits of our day, But we see the shit, and we wash the tracking lines away! (huff... huff... *gasp*) [Micro Bridge] [Vocal style: Hyperventilating child whisper, dead silent microphone square] (huff... pff... *gasp*) They think they own my (oops! Fuckin!) crazy song... (Never!) They think the sovereign man is gone... [Chorus] [Maximum Volume Industrial Energy - Layered vocals explode over slamming iron beats] Oh, the Soul grows heavy with the weight of the name! They trade away the fields for a phantom game! But the spirit is loud, and the voice will arise, Piercing right through their (oops! Fuckin!) crazy Lies! Yeah, the world’th gone (oops! Fuckin!) crazy! [Outro] [All marching and industrial sounds stop instantly on a single iron clang - total vocal isolation] My little voice .. (Phew!) I have Spoken (umph!) (huff... pff...) The line is broken. [End]
