The People's Charter - 1838 - 7 o 100 - The Cage
[Narration fragile child vocal] 1838. Organized working-class resistance crystallizes into systemic revolt against the corporate-state matrix. In the United Kingdom, the working class launches the Chartist Movement, publishing the People’s Charter to demand universal suffrage and smash the corporate monopoly over Parliament. Concurrently, the state deploys its ultimate weapon of mass displacement: the United States military begins the brutal forced march of the Cherokee Nation—the Trail of Tears—violating treaties to clear sovereign land for speculative cotton corporations. In the industrial centers, the Anti-Corn Law League is formed, marking the birth of modern lobbyist infrastructure designed to manipulate food markets for factory owners. [Intro] (Heavy rhythmic wooden table bangs establish a driving 95 BPM marching grid) (Syncopated, crisp metallic pewter mug clinks enter as percussive accents) (huff... pff...) 1838... and what do we see? (Sign the People’s Charter for me) [Verse - Part One] [Driving marching delivery, vocals pounding directly on the table bangs] The People’s Charter is written in ink on the page, A millions hands are rising up in a unified rage, They want to tear the monopoly down from the crown, And bring the power back into the industrial town! But the masters are locking the gates and calling the guard, To make the survival of free-born people more hard! (huff... *gasp*) [Refrain] (Vocal style: Shouted background call-and-response harmonies) Too high to get over! (Yeah!) Too low to get under! (Right!) The voice of the charter is roaring like political thunder! (pff...) [Verse - Part Two] [The metallic mug clinks intensify, creating a rolling percussive rhythm] The Trail of Tears is stretching out through the frost and the mud, They buy the native sovereign land with a river of blood, They drive the Cherokee Nation out of their home, To fund the cotton syndicates under the dome! They value the harvest, they evaluate the crime, And claim they own the lifecycle of human time! (huff... pff... *gasp*) [Bridge] [All percussion drops out instantly - pure, dry child vocal over dead room silence] Forget their parliamentary ledgers, break the master binary rule, (Duality) We are the living fucking fire, not the instruments for fools! They think they own the cadence and the rhythm of our tongue, But we see the shit, and we get rid of the pong! (huff... huff... *gasp*) [Micro Bridge] [Vocal style: Hyperventilating child whisper, zero instruments, dead silent room] (huff... pff... *gasp*) They think they own my (oops! Fuckin!) crazy song... (Never!) They think the sovereign man is gone... [Chorus] [Maximum Volume Anthemic Energy - Layered vocals explode over slamming table bangs] Oh, the Soul grows heavy with the weight of the name! They trade away the fields for a phantom game! But the spirit is loud, and the voice will arise, Piercing right through their (oops! Fuckin!) crazy Lies! Yeah, the world’th gone (oops! Fuckin!) crazy! [Outro] [All percussion cuts dead on a final, massive table slam - total vocal isolation] My little voice .. (Phew!) I have Spoken (umph!) (huff... pff...) The charter is broken. [End]
