Oh come on, don't look so unimpressed — look, Misha's tail just puffed up in shock! [Verse] The pumpkin girl scared you, didn't you? You dashed away, rolling down the hallway, slipped out the tiny flap by the door — that little door swinging back and forth. [Chorus, Choral harmony] You're such a moody little one, you sleep whenever you feel like it. You're such a fickle little one, and leave whenever you please. (*1) [Post-chorus] Wait, don't run! It's not scary at all. I'm sorry — I didn't mean to startle you. [Verse] I chase the glimpse of you through the door, on the stair landing where the light spills in. Ah, nothing's really changed, has it? You still poke your head between the rails. [Verse] You investigate every corner with care, and I peek from the door, just watching you. On the third-floor landing — your little back, on the fourth — it's still you I'm watching. [Pre-chorus] Seems like everything's all right now. Take care on your walk today, my dear. [Chorus, Choral harmony] You're such a moody little one, you sleep whenever you feel like it. You're such a fickle little one, and leave whenever you please. [Post-chorus] From those big, dark, gentle eyes — what kind of world did you see? [Verse2] You went for your usual walk today, that's what we all thought. But tonight, you didn't come back. And since then… you never came back. [Post-chorus, Quietly] From those big, dark, gentle eyes — what kind of world were you seeing? [Interlude, Quietly] [Verse] Sometimes you waited by the door, sometimes you wound around my legs. You'd feast and nod your head up and down, or wrinkle your nose with that tiny frown. [Verse] You climbed the curtains and tore them down, you trembled in the bath, soaking wet. So skinny, so small — but what a kind parade this world was. [Bridge] You got scolded for your mischief, ears folded into little triangles. You got scared of the pumpkin, ears pressed flat behind your head. [Chorus, Choral harmony] You're such a moody little one, you sleep whenever you feel like it. You're such a fickle little one, and leave whenever you please. [Outro] Thank you for showing me such a gentle world. Hey, Misha. ================================== Note 1: In older days, pet cats in Japan often roamed freely outdoors, with bells on their collars — like "Tama" from old anime. After the 2000s, animal welfare laws changed, shifting from "freedom to wander" to "protection with understanding." Now, we keep our cats safe indoors, guarding them from illness and traffic — a new kind of love, more caring and mindful than before. ==================================
