[Verse] When the anger starts to swell my friend I need a way to let it end So I grab my bag of tricks again And head out in the moon's soft blend [Verse 2] I ring the bell and vanish quick Leave a pumpkin light and slick A little note that's meant to stick You – it's just a harmless trick [Chorus] Flip the knife and hear the sound Leave a message left around Jack-o-lanterns never frown But they help me calm it down [Verse 3] In the shadows I did creep Laughing softly Not too deep Playing tricks before I sleep Silent promises I keep [Bridge] Feel the rush of playful spook As I vanish like a fluke Pumpkin's eyes give off a look A calming trick from my own book [Chorus] Flip the knife and hear the sound Leave a message left around Jack-o-lanterns never frown But they help me calm it down
