[Verse 1] I know your play I see the drift You wanted quiet You wanted me fixed I wore the wall I took the blame Now I can feel My own name [Pre-Chorus] Not tonight Not again I found the spark I let it in Hands up high Watch me rise I was buried once But I survived [Chorus] I won't stay in the background I won't be you're backdrop I'm headed back to the top Back to the top I won't stay in the background I won't be you're backdrop I'm headed back to the top Back to the top (top, top) [Verse 2] I bit my tongue Too many times While you took space And called it mine I played small You played king Now I hear my heart Start to sing No more dim No more grey I take up room I make my way [Pre-Chorus] Not tonight Not again I found the spark I let it in Hands up high Watch me rise I was buried once But I survived [Chorus] I won't stay in the background I won't be you're backdrop I'm headed back to the top Back to the top I won't stay in the background I won't be you're backdrop I'm headed back to the top Back to the top (top, top) [Bridge] Watch me turn The whole board Every cut you made Won't hurt me anymore I was low Now I'm loud Say my name now Say it proud [Final Chorus] I won't stay in the background I won't be you're backdrop I'm headed back to the top Back to the top I won't stay in the background I won't be you're backdrop I'm headed back to the top Back to the top (top, top)
