The Gift of Grace (Ephesians 2:8-9)
I was lost, no hope in sight, Bound by chains, a shadowed night. But Your love broke through my shame, A gift unearned, yet You still came. No work of mine could ever suffice, You paid it all, the perfect sacrifice. By grace alone, through faith I stand, Not by the works of human hands. It’s not my strength, it’s not my claim, The gift of God, salvation’s flame. You saw my heart, the sin within, And offered life to cover sin. I bring no merit, no offering, But in Your love, my soul can sing. No boast remains, it’s all from You, The cross declares what is true. By grace alone, through faith I stand, Not by the works of human hands. It’s not my strength, it’s not my claim, The gift of God, salvation’s flame. Oh, amazing grace, how sweet the sound, You lifted me, I’m heaven-bound. Undeserved, yet freely given, The gift of grace, my path to heaven. By grace alone, through faith I stand, Not by the works of human hands. It’s not my strength, it’s not my claim, The gift of God, salvation’s flame. So I will sing of love divine, Your mercy flowing through all time. By grace alone, through faith I’m free, Forever Yours, eternally.
