[Verse 1] Before I ask You for a thing I want to see what You have done Every blessing, every breath Every mercy from Your hand You carried me through every season You never left me in the night When I forget, You stay the same Faithful Father, steady light [Pre-Chorus] Open my eyes To Your goodness Turn my worry into praise Open my heart To Your favor Teach me how to bless Your name [Chorus] Give thanks to the Lord You are good Your love endures Forever Give thanks to the Lord You are good Your love endures Forever [Verse 2] When the day gets loud with fear And my plans start coming apart Remind me of the bread You gave And the peace You placed in my heart In the shadow, in the dry place You made a table stand for me So I will count Your faithful ways And sing through every memory [Pre-Chorus] Open my eyes To Your goodness Turn my worry into praise Open my heart To Your favor Teach me how to bless Your name [Chorus] Give thanks to the Lord You are good Your love endures Forever Give thanks to the Lord You are good Your love endures Forever [Bridge] Let thankfulness be my song Let praise rise up in me Through every trial, every tear You are still my victory Let my heart overflow With mercy I have known Before I ask for anything I lift Your name alone [Final Chorus] Give thanks to the Lord You are good Your love endures Forever Give thanks to the Lord You are good Your love endures Forever Give thanks to the Lord You are good Your love endures Forever
